Cinelli Piume e Piumini is a historic Tuscan company specialising in the production of down padding for clothing: for decades it has worked for the most important companies in the sector, ensuring efficiency, know-how and craftsmanship excellence. In particular, for the fashion brands Cinelli makes the preformed padding parts with an down interior: the so-called “feather bags”. With the experience gained over the years, Cinelli is also able to produce finished garments, strictly following the client’s specifications. Thanks to the selection, washing and sterilisation systems for feather and down, and to a production process managed entirely in our factory in Buggiano, we are able to offer countless qualities and types of duvets: from the highest quality padding for garments aimed at a “top” clientele, to personalised items able to satisfy specific needs of comfort, quality and convenience.

It is not enough that a product is made of goose down to be automatically considered a quality product: it all depends on the quality of down, particularly on its origin, its selection and processing and remediation to which it has been submitted. In its production cycle of selection, washing and sterilisation Cinelli includes only raw material of proven quality coming from Eastern Europe, or from those countries where the breeding of geese, together with the activity of collecting feathers, is an ancient craft exercised with great wisdom and expertise. Of every batch of raw material we get to sacrifice up to 40% to keep only the best of the feather and thus be able to give life to a finished product of excellence. From the best feather, then, through a selection process carried out directly at the Buggiano plant, we obtain the most precious quintessence: the down. Light, impalpable, unbeatable in quality of heat that can give to the body, the Cinelli down makes the difference between a product and a article of excellent quality.

In addition to the production of feather interiors, Cinelli offers its customers, thanks to the great experience gained over the years, the ability to produce finished garments of the highest quality.
