We took advantage of the call for proposals for two important things:

– A completed study, which is a ‘life cycle analysis’ of our main product and core business, namely the raw material Piuma and Piumino. The analysis was carried out using the ISO 14040 methodology.
The results of the analysis give us a clear picture of how and where we can take action to minimise our environmental impact.

– Again with a commitment to and focus on the environment and its well-being, we commissioned a feasibility study from the LMPE laboratory in Lucca, an INSTM-affiliated spin-off in collaboration with UniPi, the University of Pisa, to use and/or transform production waste in order to achieve zero waste production.

The feasibility study has opened up various possibilities, some of which are interesting:
thanks to the call for proposals, we have been able to start exploring one of these avenues in greater depth.
