By 1976, it had specialised in producing high-quality down padding for clothing for the most renowned brands in the fashion industry. It has always ensured efficiency, expertise, and excellence in craftsmanship — values that are typical of Italian manufacturing
Cinelli produces preformed filling parts with duvet inserts (also known as ‘down bags’) for fashion collections and brands to use in the production and sale of down jackets for men, women and children.
We also produce finished garments, carefully following the requests and needs of our customers.
In Buggiano, thanks to our feather and down selection, our washing and sterilisation facilities, and our time-honed methodology developed, we can provide countless variations in the quality and type of down: from high-quality filling for luxury garments to customised, made-to-measure items that meet specific comfort and quality requirements.

The quality of the down is determined by its nature and origin. However, the selection, processing and cleaning processes can also affect its value. Cinelli uses only the finest raw materials from Eastern Europe in its production cycles, sourced from countries with centuries of experience in the expert breeding of geese.
To ensure the highest possible quality standards, up to 40% of raw material batches are discarded, guaranteeing a precious finished product that is the ideal symbol of traditional
Italian manufacturing. In the factory in Buggiano, Tuscany, the intangible and refined quintessence of down is obtained from the selected feathers. It is soft, elegant and unbeatable in terms of the warmth it provides to the body — a product of absolute craftsmanship and refinement.

The top-quality down, which is carefully selected, forms the core of the filling and is protected by specific fabrics that perfectly seal in the feathers and down. Cinelli clothing is made using fabrics that are the result of decades of research and experimentation, supported by innovative yarns and the latest weaving techniques. The outcome is a cutting-edge material ready to meet new market challenges. It is downproof, waterproof, rip-stop and ultra-lightweight thanks to high-quality fibres that are woven with down flakes to enhance thermal capacity.

The so-called ‘down bag’ can be adapted to any design or customisation thanks to the wide range of production solutions available, as well as the various types of quilting and manufacturing variables we apply to our semi-finished products.
Any solution can be customised in detail to meet the specified quantity and quality requirements, as well as the customer’s desired stylistic touch.

In addition to producing down interiors, we offer the option of producing high-quality finished garments, a field in which we have over a decade of experience, beginning with all-Italian outerwear. Thanks to our experience, our internal production methods and our rigorous, precise quality control, we can fulfil all requests while providing maximum guarantees in terms of safety and style.
